REST API endpoints and data objects are changing

Certain endpoints and objects will stop being available April 12, 2019

We’re letting you know that we are deprecating a number of API object fields and endpoints, which will be removed on April 12, 2019.

First, we are removing certain kinds of personal data about Bitbucket users from our APIs in accordance with GDPR requirements. These changes will affect objects and endpoints that contain or refer to personal data such as username, website, location, and more. Check out our blog post for more details about those forthcoming changes. Endpoints and user objects deprecated due to GDPR will stop being available on April 12, 2019.

Second, we want to remind everyone that our already deprecated 1.0 API endpoints will stop working on April 12, 2019.

We encourage you to take time now and plan to update any apps or other API dependencies which currently use any of our 1.0 API endpoints. The best place to start is with our deprecation notice where you'll find alternatives and links to further documentation. You can also keep up with the latest changes to the Bitbucket Cloud API.
