If you want to make use of the existing set of ADG icons that are used in Confluence you should use the confluence-icons library.
The library is very simple, consisting of a number of CSS classes. Each class defines a non-repeating background image which represents the icons that we provide within Confluence.
To use this library simply add it to your pom.xml and then include a dependency on it within your atlassian-plugin.xml.
