Deprecation of old versions of OSGI and tracker libraries for server apps

From 17 February 2022, the app migration platform will not be compatible with server apps using:

  • atlassian-app-cloud-migration-osgi library older than version 1.0.0, or
  • atlassian-app-cloud-migration-tracker library older than version 1.26.1

Existing

The Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA) and Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) are currently compatible with server apps using:

  • atlassian-app-cloud-migration-osgi library older than version 1.0.0 and implementing the listener of type AppCloudMigrationListenerV1 or JiraAppCloudMigrationListenerV1
  • atlassian-app-cloud-migration-tracker library older than version 1.26.1 and implementing the listener of type CloudMigrationListenerV1 or JiraCloudMigrationListenerV1

Replacement

We have released the following versions of OSGI and tracker libraries,

LibraryNew Version
atlassian-app-cloud-migration-osgi1.0.0
atlassian-app-cloud-migration-tracker1.26.1

We strongly recommend that Marketplace Partners update their server apps to use the new versions of the OSGI or Tracker library specified above.

Reason for deprecation

  • atlassian-app-cloud-migration-tracker library versions older than 1.26.1 have references to AppCloudMigrationListener and old migration models that are not supported by the app migration platform anymore. The Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA) and Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) will stop exposing AppCloudMigrationListener and old migration models from the first release after the deprecation date of 17 February 2022.

  • Onboarding your server apps to use the new versions of the OSGI and tracker library improves the efficiency of the app migration platform support for server apps.
